Sismo sacude Indonesia, van siete muertos

Ciudad de México, 25 febrero 2022.- Como si no fuera suficiente con los convulsos acontecimientos mundiales, una vez más la naturaleza deja en claro que sólo ella tiene el control. Este viernes, un terremoto de magnitud 6.2 se registró en el norte de la isla de Sumatra, en Indonesia.


Según los primeros reportes al menos hay siete muertos y 85 heridos. Autoridades locales revelaron que el sismo se produjo minutos después de otro menos intenso que provocó la evacuación.

El terremoto tuvo lugar a las 01:35 locales, a una profundidad de 12 kilómetros y a 70 kilómetros de Bukittingi, en Sumatra Occidental, según informó el Servicio Geológico de Estados Unidos.


Hasta el momento no hay alerta de tsunami pero las autoridades locales alertaron de posibles deslaves por la temporada de lluvia, por lo que pidió a los habitantes alejarse de las zonas de riesgo.
